Pancetta
Cindy, Here are a couple of iphone photos of my rock flower anemones. Sorry that they are not the best quality. The colors are pretty close. All the photos I took with my wife's camera turned out blurry. It seems to focus on the aquarium glass? http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/davidebacon/media/IMG_1575_zps5a212994.jpg.html'> http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/davidebacon/media/IMG_1583_zpsc2996572.jpg.html'> David Link to comment

WOW! about how big are they? are they 3 inches +? how long have you had them? they make me happy. thank you for sharing! Thanks. They are about 2-1/2" when they are fully open. I bought them around July 24th in a group buy from VIP Reef. I had a scary moment with the yellow one this weekend. The orange Ricordea to the right of the yellow RFA has not attached itself to anything yet. While cleaning the tank it blew into the anemone by accident. It started to close on the ric and I had to pull it away with my hand. Very strange sensation having the RFA try to crab my fingers! David Link to comment

The only place I have been to in San Diego County is Aquatica in San Marcos area. Im in Menifee. I primarly go to the fish and frag shack or Gills yes, Aqua SD! they are on clairemont mesa blvd across from the Zion market! they apparently do tons of online sales, but as a local, i can stop in! maybe not so great for my wallet though. Aquatic Warehouse near Aqua SD is great too! it's about 5 minutes further down clairemont mesa blvd. Link to comment

However, their selection looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!! sdreefs.com seems to be down. but the deals were fantastic online. i got the metallic shroom for $20 and the two polyps of blue agaves for $15. apparently they do these online sales once or twice a month? you should check it out under "sponsors" thread at sdreefs.com once it's up again. i think the heat broked it. ha! yea, AquaSD can be pretty pricey but they run sales alot. my flower nems were on par with the sale prices. i had gone in early that friday and picked the best of the bunch! Feels like Florida!!!! i'm from taiwan, so this isn't totally weird. but in SD? what are we, in the tropics? ha! nice selections! thank you! i saw that the palys actually have a third smaller polyp. freebie! my sexy shrimp was dancing all over them too. aiiiii if anyone has favia tips, i'd appreciate. been googling, but don't know much about them at all. was scared it was SPS for a moment there. cindyp
The little sexy shrimp just chillin in the background on the frogspawn, awesome!! Love your nem and the paly's!!! thank you! i think i've hit max as far as coral acquiring for now. ha! am very happy with everything. most of the coral from my old pico are bleached, due to a babysitting disaster (high temps for days) so they look wan in my tank. poor things. the sexies seems uper happy and have the run of the tank. i had some ginorous amphipods that they had to compete for pellets with in the 3g. maybe they'll come back. but for now, they rule the roost. WISHLIST: so i'd LOVE a plate coral. not sure if that's the right term, but i saw some cool ones at ASD. no space in the tank though. they also got some clams in that were gorgeous. point me to your plate coral or clam fotos or post them here so i can covet. ha! gena
Another RFA lover . I really love that orange one you picked up! I'm in L.A. and the weather has been insane. I usually love hotter weather but after a week in the 100s I'm now fed up LOL. We didn't get rain yesterday but we had rain clouds overhead in the afternoon. It was a nice break from the intense sun...did have a tropical feel too which I love . Next time I'm in SD I want to visit AquaSD. Here's a photo that has both of my clams and plates in it . These guys are in my 45g tank. You definitely need space for them! Link to comment
cindyp
your tanks are so gorgeous!!! totally envious and very insprational. i've got my eye on the mini tide light you just posted about. maybe for my next big splurge. i went in and handpicked the orange nem before ASD had its online sale. supposedly pricey unless on sale, which they hold often. now, i think i'ma going to move my favia and give her some space. ha! eta: can i ask what fish you keep in your 8g? does that pretty firefish (?) do well? fish(ies) will be my next big addition to the 8g. but holding off until october. Thanks . That orange RFA you picked up is one of the prettiest I've seen!!! If you decide to get the light you won't regret it! I love that favia...always loved that color combo on that one. I have a green clown goby and a masked goby in my 8g tank. Both are quite small. No plans to add any other fish unless I lose one of them. They don't really hang out together but I think they like knowing the other is there. I'm projecting...they could probably care less LOL. The firefish are in my 45g tank. I really think they do best in at least 20g min. They are long fish and seem to stress easily. From my experience. Link to comment

From my experience. *facepalm* too hot and not enough iced coffee yet. of course, your plates and clams would be in the larger tank. thank you! i'm considering gobies, they are so cute, but not super active. or possibly stubby clowns. maybe blennies. will have to have a gander next i'm at Aquatic Warehouse. they have a wide fish selection for us SDians. that orange nem was expensive. ha! sticker shock! and i am very pleased with the dragon soul favia freebie. but just googled tentacle images. no joke. thank you, gena!! eta: i think your gobies are happy there's another in the tank too.
