wildbill79
I started the same tank a month and a half ago. Little money pit! lol It is addicting, so get you wallet out! What upgrades/changes have you made so far? Give us the list! Link to comment
biev
Thanks all!! Only thing I have done so far is spent waaay too much money lol. But nothing major so far mod wise. Just took out the tab from chamber one-two for increased flow, removed sponge from two-three for the same reason and got rid of the floss/carbon cartridge from chamber one then swapped out for floss/bag of carbon in chamber two. This Friday I can order the media basket and then fully utilize the media I have purchased. Would eventually like to add new led lighting(anyone have a suggestion for this?) to it and get a maxi jet 900 or 1200 for return flow. Link to comment
wildbill79
I have been looking at the LED upgrade as well. I have the 2 LEDs with the 3 diodes, but I don't think that they give very much lighting value. I am looking at Steve's LED and Rapid LED upgrades. There may be some DIY upgrades, but I know so little about how much light is needed that I am afraid to go that route. Link to comment

Thought about doing away with the lid all together and getting a clip on or hanging style of light, but wow.. Cost makes me cringe, all in due time I suppose! Link to comment
Sashimi
Looks good. I just ordered the JBJ 6 gallon LED to start another tank. It's definitely an addicting hobby. Link to comment

kimberbee
What a cute little crab!! I think one hermit in my tank is blue, but he hides a lot more than the others so I'm not 100% sure. Link to comment
biev
My blue hermit is more active than my others. Always eating. Link to comment

Oh and you should look at getting a pistol shrimp for your goby I have a yellow watchman and pistol and they are really cool to watch, they'll build a burrow together. Link to comment
biev
Not yet, it was in layaway but things came up and had to cancel for now. Sucks but what can you do. I want a pistol shrimp for sure, I see a lot of people on here have them paired up. It's crazy but cool! Link to comment
wildbill79
Looking good. I don't know if I am going to go without the hood on mine. I think I will get another tank if I go the hanging LED route. I am doing to do the DIY upgrade. Link to comment

biev
Well purchased a Reefbreeders Value LED from a member on here a bit ago. Now to figure out how to make a stand for it to sit over my tank, looks like I am going hoodless after all. Will also have to make a cover of some sorts to prevent my fish from jumping out. More pics after all is said and done. Link to comment
MisturrTinnie
Looks good, sub'd. You should try to find a koralia and replace that maxijet powerhead. It's not too pleasing on the eyes. . Better yet get a Jebao WP-10 and you'll be in love. It's about $50 ish, but the wave action is amazing. Your fish and corals will love you. Link to comment
