How did you guys beat the brown flat worms

so I've been seeing more and more brown flat worms in my tank and i have a six line in the tank but it doesn't seem like he's interested in the brown flat worms

 

i was just curious to how you guys beat the brown flat worms

Flatworm exit! Do a treatment then another 7 days later then another one 7 days later. I always dip my corals in flatworm exit and coral rx mixed in a bucket 3 times the recommended strength.

Flat worms can be tough to get rid of. I've never used flatworm exit.Although I've read of some peoples success using it. It takes patience but I've always sucked em out during water changes or with a turkey baster. Then I cut back greatly on my feeding for a while. Once they run out of food the problem usually goes away. It just takes time.

I just dont know how i got flat worms i used coral rx on every coral i added

What is there main food source?

 

i dont really feed my tank im trying to starve my sixline so it will hopefully go after my flatworms

I think it's the detritus and little left over bits of food and fish waste. Sucking em out, blowing off the rocks to get the excess detritus and food out has always helped me control them. I think completely getting rid of them once there in your tank might be impossible.

harmless for the most part, unsightly in mass quantities though.

in the past I've had the big brown ones which didn't do anything bad that I could see, they were just really ugly. In plague proportions they can be detrimental. The little ones with the red dot didn't seem to bother too much either. I guess if they die off in mass proportion they can poison your tank but I've never had that happen. There is a variety that eats acropora but they're not brown.
