jimmy_c
Getting really excite about start up our new tank 45 gal. I'd like to get a mated pair of maroon clowns (Spike cheek Clowns) and some Ocellaris clowns. Would they be compatable? Maroons are some what agressive with thier own kind, but don't know about different species of clowns? Would they work together? Thoughts? Link to comment
PiscesFish
I just did a quick search on that as that kind of interested me since I've heard that Maroons are usually the more aggressive of the clownfish family. But I mean like it does look like it is possible, but if you're going to be mating them yourself then it will be best to get them as juveniles with one being a bit larger than the other at the same time. But tbh here, I don't really know anything about clownfish mating but that's from just a brief research. Link to comment
Roshan8768
No... only one type of clown in a tank that size. Maroon's are mean too... they will own a 45 gallon and you will need to have fish that can handle themselves as tank mates Link to comment
