andersonkc
So now that is has been determined that I have a chalice not a favia... (thanks Lawnman) Do chalice corals prefer to be on a rock to grow or is the sand bed okay? Do they grow over rocks or just on them? I guess I am not as concerned with where in the tank, but more what they prefer to grow on and how they grow. I have not seen the feeder tentacles on mine lately, but appears to be growing. Lawnman
You can place them on a rock or sandbed it doesn't matter. They will grow over the rock or across the sandbed. Just make sure you don't give it to much light if going from shade then higher up on a rock. Link to comment
NorthGaHillbilly
I like mine on the rock, alot of people like them on the sandbed, like lawn said, watch out for giving them too much light, most prefer relatively low light. Link to comment
