ps2cho
It almost looks like its eating the base of my birdsnest! I've done a 2 week QT and dip on all my corals. I guess I need to still do a better job... Red bugs? This is the best shot I can get...I just took my turkey baster and blew they all off right now. Link to comment
markalot
As far as I know birdsnests have no specific pests. Recession followed by algae and pods perhaps? What is alk, calcium, etc? Link to comment
ps2cho
I had a few rough patches with alk spikes and too much nutrient removal. I have since fixed the issue and parameters are much better now. Alk 9.5 ca 430 mg 1300 nitrates 4 po4 .08 I didn't know pods were black though...thats why I thought pest. None of my other corals have them on them. I inspected very closely. Link to comment
markalot
You have the strangest issues with this tank. I might superglue around the base and just let it be. Birsdnests aren't big encrusters but it will slowly encrust over superglue and deny these critters access to the skeleton. Link to comment
ps2cho
You can't expect anything to go picture perfect right Link to comment
