atrox
Looks like my alk and ca demand has increased and I need to adjust alk accordingly ca is 450 Mag is 1440 Alk is 6.4 I'd like alk to be in the 8-9 dkh range I do a 5 gallon wc every week with reef crystals on a 40 breeder. I bought some c-balance and reef calculator says I need to add 104 ml to get those levels. Can I simply add 10 ml of the alk part every few hours or should add maybe 2 ml an hour to get the levels up. Link to comment

Dramad1
Based on my experience with the reef calculator, What ever the calculator says, I start with half that and check levels daily. Also agree with Chadf about .5 dkh per day. I believe that dosing more than 5ml at one time, can cause swings in your ph. I would also dose at lights out and monitor your ph. Dosing alk at night and ca in morning works best for me. Link to comment
atrox
So just add and test till I get the .5 raise and repeat every 24 hrs? Link to comment
