dukduk
How do I clean dried dead coral on Vidarock? Got some from a friend. Link to comment
NanoTank1
It's a good question. I like Vidarock but find it to be fragile. Cleaning it off will be a challenge. Link to comment
farkwar
If just snapping it off wont work..bone cutters. Dremel tool with a wheel cutter. Angle grinder with a cutting wheel. Why would you want it off? Wash it all in some acid, and leave it for stuff to grow on. GSP, coraline algae, or zoas could make it home. Would look cool. Shoot, this is a sponsor forum. Weird place for this question. Link to comment

Kirk_M
AquaTecture sells vidarock as well...I think Aquarium Specialty sells AquaRoche instead. Link to comment
dukduk
They're mostly dead palys and softies, they've been dried out for a few months. AquaTecture isn't a sponsor here and AS used to sell Vida so I figured I'd ask. The stuff is pretty fragile, I'm afraid any kind of acid bath will completely dissolve it, even a strong vinegar. On Guam you just find a red ant nest,!leave it for a few days, and it's pretty much clean. Link to comment
