ryhiem
Hello all, So Im mounting my DIY led light fixture in my enclosed canopy. The canopy has 2 - 120mm fans in the top for venting and the led fixture has 6 - 40mm fans on the heatsink. As of right now their is nothing separating the light fixture from the top of the tank. Should I install an acrylic separator/sheild for the purpose of protecting my lights from salt or will using salt creep eliminator be sufficient ?? or maybe the use of the clear screening to help with the salt creep?? Thanks! Link to comment
fishnlou
I would say it depends on how much surface agitation your tank has along with how far from water surface your lights are. Link to comment
ryhiem
only surface agitation will be the coast to coast over flow. lights are about 8 inches away from water level Link to comment
