wildbill79
Noticed that the flesh was pulling away from my torch a bit yesterday. About a week before that, I pulled a large flatworm off of it. Got home from work today, and both heads were dead! Brown Jelly covered both heads and they are smoked. I haven't had the best luck with torches. Lost one to barnacles and this one to Brown Jelly Disease. I took a few pics and i will try to post them tomorrow. Link to comment

owenj
They are my wife's favorite, so I think I have to give them one more try. Torches seem really hit or miss on if they're going to be touchy or not. I lost one to brown jelly fast, and had another hold out for a while before it crashed during the tank move. Crossing my fingers about the two I currently have. Link to comment

Brown jelly sucks & spreads really fast. I had it take out some acans once too when my cat fell in the fish tank & gouged one of the polyps with her claws. Love your new plate! It's so little! wildbill79
A couple of quick shots tonight: Dragon's Breath starting to pop up in a few spots. wildbill79
Tiny plate is so cute!! Thanks! I am on the lookout for more! Want different colors. I also think I identified the critter in the first picture. I believe it is a Stomatella snail. I have no idea what is growing ff of the other snail. It is the same thing that was growing off of my live rock. Link to comment
Dryland
Hey Bill, nice tank! I used to have some of those little snails too. I discovered when I tried to remove one that they will detach their tales as a decoy when harassed. Following. Link to comment

owenj
The algae on the yuma pic looks a bit like byropsis to me--not a good thing. But there's a feathery looking caulerpa out there too that kinda looks the same? I'm not great at macro id's. Link to comment

If that's the case, I am going to chip as much of the rock away and just leave a little of the for on the foot as soon as I get home tonight. It is just confined to that rock for right now. It looks like fern caulerpa to me, but I am going to play it safe. Link to comment
