717Tank Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 SO I've been running an SCA 302 for about 6 months now, cleaned it once a month, and I did a water change today and when I turned the skimmer back on it is blowing bubbles out of the bottom of the blue pipe, I pulled it apart and wiped it all good but I cant figure out how to get the actual power head apart to clean inside of it. What is causing this and what do I need to do? I tried plugging it back in multiple times and it is just doing the same thing it starts up and just starts fizzing out of my collection cup and out the bottom of the blue tube, if I adjust it it either stops fizzing out the tube and bubbles like crazy out of the cup or fizzes like crazy out the tube and nothing out the cup. Tamberav Posted July 23, 2014 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I have a pump for one of their larger versions. The end where the venturi is twists to unlock and then you pull it off.. CAREFULLY so you don't break the shaft. The inside motor is magnetized in, I used a tweezers to pull it out. This is the end that comes off: Link to comment
