ps2cho
So I am reading you are supposed to match the skimmer to the return pump? My return pump is doing about 300-400gph when I factor headloss and my skimmer pump is said to be rated at 650gph. Should I be getting a more powerful return pump to help get more water to the skimmer? Link to comment
AZDesertRat
What size display and sump? A good rule of thumb is 5x the display volume for your return pump after headloss provided your sump is large enough to handle that velocity without microbubble problems. Skimmers recirculate so a lower return flow is beneficial for multiple passes through the skimmer. Link to comment
