Heat packs necessary in summer?

might try shipping some soft corals. Are heat packs necessary in summer? Someone on another forum has the opinion that it is possible to overheat and cook corals in the summer when sent with heat packs??

Depends entirely where its going. I got a shipment and told the guy no heatpacks. He just put a few ice cubes in and everything was fine. But AZ is 110F this time of year.

If summer is 70F, then maybe a small one.

I wouldn't use heat packs, just have them insulated well so they don't change temperature too quickly.. if anything (depending on your location) I'd be more worried about too much heat than not enough..
