Brayreef
I am currently looking for the cheapest lighting option for this tank. I plan on keeping soft corals and possibly lps in the future. Any ideas?????? Thanks. Link to comment
Brayreef
Par 30. I noticed that coral compulsion carries a 3 watt par 16 blue led. I have my doubts that it would produce enough light. I honestly just want something as simple as a picotope light but have not been able to find one seperate from the kit. Link to comment
bdevillier19
you could go with this http://coralcompulsion.com/led/PAR-BULBS/led-21w-18k or you could go with this and have dimming capabilities http://coralcompulsion.com/led/PAR-BULBS/20k-full-spectrum-clearance Link to comment
Brayreef
Anything cheaper possibly? Or any websites that sale a picotope light fixture? Link to comment
chrisinator
You could possibly get 4 LEDs from RapidLED.com, it's a fairly small tank so you won't need as much as, something like the Fluval Spec V. It should come out to around $40 or so for a high lighting setup. Link to comment
bdevillier19
No one is going to sell anything cheaper than a $60 par 38 like coral compulsion that's going to be worth a damn. If $60 is to expensive for a light you might be in the wrong hobby. I have way more money than I care to think about in corals packed into my 20 gallon long. Lights are the most important thing on your tank and probably the last place you should cut corners. Good luck though. Link to comment
