vinyl tubing vs ultra flex PVC for return line

Hi, I just wanted to know if there is a reason many overflow kits I've seen use ultra flex PVC for the drain line, but vinyl tubing for the return line.

I see vinyl tubing is much cheaper, but is there some other reason? Is it fine if I just use ultra flex PVC for both parts?

Drain will be 1.5" ultra flex PVC, and then return would be .75" either ultra flex pvc or vinyl tubing.

I'm using a 700gph overflow.

Much thanks.

Personally I would only hard plumb a return or overflow. I am too paranoid about the lines falling out of the sump and flooding my house! I know people who use flexible lines but it is always a risk. Also hard plumb looks much cleaner!

they both works. I've used both vynil, soft pvc or hard pvc, whatever cheap and work easiy then go with that.

if you have an open sump, then hard pvc looks cleaner and more professional other than that all all work the same
