CrazyCarl Posted July 6, 2014 Share Posted July 6, 2014 I keep mine pretty high, about an inch below the top of the baffle at most. Will help with micro bubbles a little if you decide to run a skimmer. I recommend the minimax reactor, works very well ime. Link to comment

I bought one and was unimpressed....eventually the pump crapped out, so I've been skimmerless. Link to comment

Are you talking about an RW-8? no its rw4. the rw8 would be way to big for this tank. i was going to pick up a demo wp10 he was showing people the power of the pump and when he took it out one of the cords at a 3" slice so he told me he would be getting in some more next friday. said ok thats fine. tuesday he wrote me a pm and said i just upgraded you to the rw4 for the same price. it'll just be another week if you want and i was all over it. hopefully i'll have it this weekend. Id love to see how it sizes up in the Nuvo 16? i sent ya pm. i'm getting it sunday when i run down there. if its like the wp10 its pretty small and about the size of a koralia 240. well the lfs that had the red ruby sent an email out and is closing and has everything 50%. didn't get the ruby but had 2 firefish for $8 which i couldn't pass up so i now have 2 ff for the time being. friend walked out with a lobo and trachy for $15 a piece. lucky SOB. lol Link to comment

lilmatty5dimes Posted July 13, 2014 Author Share Posted July 13, 2014 UH, you can't buy all this shiz and not post pictures! gah! lol. sad thing is i got all of this for what a retail cb rainbow infusion goes for. $100. but i'm waiting for everything to open up. plus i sold the stock leds and right now have on a coralife dual bulb t5 fixture. the bulbs are 6700k and actinic bulb. everything looks super brown right now. lol i'll get some tomorrow hopefully after i can get these cars. then i'm pretty much done buying and going to start trading. unless i can find a bloodshot or a space monster. lol Link to comment

lilmatty5dimes Posted July 19, 2014 Author Share Posted July 19, 2014 Great new additions man How come you went with that light instead of something more mainstream? i sold the stock lights to a local reefer who wants to only keep softies and zoas. so they would work perfectly for him. figure at $70 for the pair was a great deal. the dual t5 fixture is a temp until i get a few more $$. i'm going to get some evergrow led off ebay. there basically the same thing as reef breeder and reef radiance. i may switch over to the mh/t5 fixture when i get it back from the friend who is borrowing it. we'll see when the time comes. lilmatty5dimes Posted July 20, 2014 Author Share Posted July 20, 2014 got my im custom caddy basket. so far i'm loving them. i'm going to be ordering another one along with the underwater led to make a fuge. i think i'm going to be running some gfo on one side and gac on the other. along with some poly filter floss on top. i'll see how that does. i just need to go get a few baggies for the media. i also ordered my evergrow led fixture. should ship on monday and probably be here next weekend. grant it i believe the growth rate would be so much better with the dual t5 fixture(6700k bulb) the color just sucks to bad. loltuesday my rw4 should be in. FINALLY lol the shipment got delayed an extra week but should be good to go. Link to comment
