Pondering a Catalina Goby in a coldwater tank...

Given a temperate reef, what is the smallest size tank that a catalina goby could be successful in? Also, for a given tank, what dimensions would do better? Squarish? An elongated rectangle? Tall?

Pondering a small coldwater setup centered around this one fish....

Being a bottom dweller he will be happier with more floor space so I would not do a tall tank. I guess 4-5 gallons. Depending what room temp is, you may want to get a thick acrylic tank so it doesn't sweat.

I wondered how a Catalina goby would do in a seahorse tank where the temperature was 72-74 degrees? Do you think that is too warm?

Too warm according to this:

Attempting to keep any fish at the very top of its natural temperature range is going to shorten its lifespan and weaken the immune system. 71 degrees happens to be the top of a Catalina Goby’s temperature range.

Thanks, no Catalina gobies will be going in the seahorse tank!

For an 18" long x 8" wide by 8" tall 5 gallon tank with 1/2" acrylic what type/strength of chiller is needed? Ideally I would like a strength that can cool the tank without me leaving the air conditioning on all day. My reef tank recently hit 89 degrees... so I need quite a bit of power to handle summer in NYC...

I'm not good with this, but a CoolWorks Iceprobe could work, they're on Micro-reefs website.
