klick81
I just recently purchased the Red Sea Reef Foundation Pro Test Kit, and I stupidly contaminated the contents of the large Calcium "tritant" bottle (I'm a noob and just learning about reef keeping). I then ordered a replacement "Calcium Pro Test Refill" from eBay, since a Red Sea representative confirmed that that portion of the test kit was compromised. After opening the box, I proceeded to inspect the new bottle, and saw these floating "thingies". I remember seeing them AFTER I contaminated the previous bottle, but not before. For those of you experienced with this test kit, is this normal on a new bottle? Link to comment
Tamberav
Request a refund or replacement imo Link to comment
klick81
I'm leaning towards that Tamberav. I also emailed Red Sea to see what they say, but this doesn't look good. Upon further inspection, the Calcium powder bottle in the refill kit did not have the little spoon attached to it with a rubber band like the original kit did. Looks more and more like this is a used kit, or it's been tampered with, at the very least. Link to comment
Based
Was the seel of the calcium bottle already cracked? Link to comment
klick81
Didn't even think about that. The bottle opened effortlessly, so I don't think it had a seal. Actually, I don't think those bottles have seals do they? Link to comment
