Power supply rating for Lumia 5.2

Hi,

 

Confused on choosing the power supply for Lumia 5.2.

 

Lumia 5.2 specs as per the site;

 

Channel 1 - 3 Hyper Violet (430nm) and 2 True Violet (410nm) (Violet channel) (18v @ 700mA)
Channel 2 - Royal Blue (base blue spectrum) (16.5V @ 1500mA)
Channel 3 - 3 XT-E Netural White and 2 XT-E Warm White (base white color) (16.5V @ 1500mA)
Channel 4 - Turquoise / CREE XPE2 Blue (enhanced color spectrum) (17.2V @ 700mA)
Channel 5 - 3 Hyper Violet and 2 CREE XT-E Royal Blue (Actinic channel) (18v @ 700mA)

 

Max power consumption for a channel is 18Volt. So cant I choose a 24Volt SMPS supply?

 

Would be using LDD drivers.

 

If I need to run only a single channel Lumia, then I can go for 5.2Amp, 24Volt supply. And if I need to run 2 channels of Lumia, then I can go for 5+5=10 Amp. May be a 15Amp supply. Am I correct?

180w 48v 3.75 amp supply can handle 2x lumia

I am not finding a 48Volt SMPS in my locality. Hence was thinking if I could use 24Volt 15Amp or 24Volt 5.2 Amp supply to drive 2 or 1 Lumia 5.2.

24v is fine as long as you run only one channel per LDD, so five LDD to run one, ten LDD to run two. A 90w power supply is fine for one, 170w is fine for two, as your minimums.

Yes I plan to run single LDD for each channel. This is the plan:

 

Channel 1 - LDD 700
Channel 2 - LDD 1000
Channel 3 - LDD 1000
Channel 4 - LDD 700
Channel 5 - LDD 700

 

Thinking of using Storm LED Controller.
