The 130$ BRS unit ends up being 200$ with tax and shipping and many of the listings on ebay have an extra 20$ in import fees. I found these two for the same price that are in canada with free shipping so the price seems pretty good. Are they good units? Is either better? Their customer service was excellent. My husband got me it as a gift and he bought the "RO" one only (for drinking) because he does not know much about the reef hobby and the company sent us the DI part for free at no cost. The instructions were horrible but then I find that to be the case with everything in this hobby. AZDesertRat Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 Neither would be my choice since both have small, ineffective horizontal DI filters which channel and short circuit. You might try contacting Spectrapure directly, I understand there are places in Canada stocking and selling them now. Worlds of difference. Link to comment
