Maroon Clownfish

Hi All,

 

My Maroon clownfish "Hodor" died recently cause of an apparent attack of my other maroon clownfish. What I dont get is, Hodor was so large (2x the size) compared to my other maroon and that they have been co-habitating for at least 6 months! My other maroon clownfish is not even maroon anymore, its more black with white stripes.

 

Anyways - just venting.

 

Also, my kenya's are going out of control so if anyone lives near Valencia, CA. 91354 and wants to trade please let me know.

Ha! Love the name. Sorry for the loss. Maroons are beautiful, but can't deal with the hostility. Is it a small tank?

Might've been too small for two, but I'm not brushed up on my maroon clown husbandry though. I just know they get huge and mean as hell. If I were in your shoes, I'd trade your remaining maroon towards a pair of ocellaris. That way you can add other fish if and when you want. They can still be aggressive but not nearly like a maroon.

You're right about that, absolute nightmare! Hope you keep all your fingers...

 

you might be able to use the search on this forum for a little DIY trap though and save you the work! Good luck tho, lol.
