Steensj2004
My LFS had these Orange-ish Maul morphs I wanted. I noticed after I got it home that it has what looks like some kind of another coral on the plug. Green with what looks like lines/strips. Also has some tentacle/polyps that come up out of it. Actually kinda looks like the tentacles on a plate coral. It is located on the left side of the frag. I think I could probably chip it off the frag as there is a gap between it and the Zoa colony.... Could it be a Leptoseris coral? Link to comment
TeamIM24
Nice pick up. Not sure what that is (does look like some type of plate to me) but it does appear to have enough room to scrape it off and relocate. Link to comment

I'm not real sure....I thought plate too, thought maybe it was a baby that came off a mother coral. But I dunno, I don't know much about it. It is irritating on zoa polyp, so I would like to move it. It looks to have multiple eyes? Link to comment
Tamberav
Doesn't look like a plate baby to me. I am seeing multiple eyes. Link to comment
AWillroth
I'm thinking chalice for sure. A small chip probably fell off a bigger neighbor somewhere along the line and landed by your zoas. Link to comment
opaquelace
Doesn't look like chalice to me, and a baby fungia of some sort probably wouldn't have that many mouths being that small. Have you thought about it possibly being psammacora? This is psammacora: Very similar tentacles to plate corals but encrusts and I believe some branch out. I would remove the palys before removing the other coral. The palys will be much easier to remove and much more likely to recover. After that is done you have a really nice piece of coral.
