SquishyFishy Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 Help! New nem RBTA seemed just fine stayed in the same crevice up front for 3 days. Now he's sliding slowly down the back of my rock (I even moved a piece to accommodate this)...he opened up this morning beautifully and now he is fully open, but polyps are puny and there is brown phi lament stuff coming out his mouth. Don't tell me he's going to die!! Hoping this is normal from time to time. Link to comment

SquishyFishy Posted May 30, 2014 Author Share Posted May 30, 2014 I have only fed him very small Mysis (frozen) one time in 3 days cuz I didn't want to overfeed him. I looked at other posts and now I think he's just releasing poo. He is very pretty though, don't want to lose him. Tank is 6 months old and params are great. BoxKing Posted May 31, 2014 Share Posted May 31, 2014 I have a Nuvo 16 as well, and will be picking up a RBTA tomorrow. My thoughts towards yours are- the stock lighting may not be enough for it to feel grounded, and it really cant move from where its at currently. Id place it on the sand bed and see where it goes from there. All in all, Id make a lighting change.. not just for the RBTA, but for the health of all and anything in your tank.. I bought a a350W for 250, and my tank inhabitants have already loved life just in 12 days... hope things change for you! Link to comment

And they're absolutely fine after they've taken a dump. I look at it like a child sitting on the toilet, their face all contorted, etc. Link to comment

Anyways, the nem is fine I think. He bubbles up and then deflates several times a day and I am spot feeding him Mysis. Will get some silver sides this week to try. Link to comment
