Wes1984
FTS: 07/110/2014 http://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_7248_zpsaafddb96.jpg.html'> My latest project as i've been struggling to keep levels constant with the amount of corals and size tank I have atm. Im pretty stoked about this one so its a very slow build and everything is chosen very carefully from setup and equipment to livestock current and future. The plan is to set this one up in the new flat when i move in at beginning of september. Easier to transfer stock than to move the whole tank. I also wanted more fish as i've never really been into them very much until recently so i would like a lot more in this one.EQUIPMENT LIST:STOCK LIST:Heres some pics of the build process so far. Arkayology
Nice build! I really like that you left a little ledge on the sides of the stand. It is something so useful that many of us don't think about when we build a stand. What are the dims? Link to comment
Wes1984
Thanks. Yeah the ledges are always useful it also allowed me to have a bit more room underneath as the sump is 2ft and takes up most of the space. The display tank is 24w x 24h x 16d and the sump is 24x15x12. Ill get some more pics up soon. Link to comment

Wes1984
Painting complete on the stand and tank. Busy working on a rear panel for all the plugs to screw onto and also on the door for the front. Still trying to find a dark vinyl for the back glass as well to match the acrylic.http://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_1652_zpsaf1fa8a3.jpg.html'>http://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_1653_zps7bc94f39.jpg.html'> Link to comment
RiddleEagle18
Few more pics showing shelf support and weir etc. _ Looking good! When you siliconed the support, and upper shelf glass panels in did you order the glass slightly smaller than the width of the tank? Did you put the silicone on the new glass and slide it in place or on the tank and then place the pieces inside. Looking forward to watching this build. Link to comment

Yes the glass is just smaller than the actual space and then siliconed the edges of the glass and then ran a bead of silicon over the corner as well. Link to comment
Wes1984
The stand is now complete and sump is half way Not sure what i'm going to do about handles on the door yet though. The wood on the door is to blend in with the rest of the furniture ie my coffee table. The majority of the the flat is white and rustic dark wood so keeping it going throughout. Heres a pic of the table. The wood is all from pallets Link to comment

Wes1984
Have you given any thoughts into flow in the bottom section? Hi, yes i will have a vortech mp 10 pushing water from the left side towards the deeper side. Also on the right side, the return will be in the right hand corner and connected to it will b a hydor flow which turns constantly pushing water in various directions including down.I will be monitoring the flow and sand bed and if need be i have a spare koralia 900 that can hid in the bottom section but i think there should be enough flow. Wes1984
Sump baffles complete and some new toys I have a load of blue vinyl so going to cover the back of the sump with it to hide any wires hanging down the back just to make a little bit neater. Hopefully anyway.lolhttp://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_1664_zpsc3bf80bc.jpg.html'>http://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_1665_zps1ca562de.jpg.html'>http://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_1666_zps87d77a60.jpg.html'> Link to comment

After having the 160w razor and the nano(cant fault either really) I prefer the colour out of the evergrows loads more. And i was in UK Reef the other day and under a IT2040 exactly like this they had these:http://s515.photobucket.com/user/wflanegan/media/IMG_1702_zpsb3209799.jpg.html'>So I'm looking forward to seeing them with sps.
