MELEON
Hi everyone, been lurking here for a while now. I set a 12 gallon nanocube about 6 months ago. Love it. But I’m planning to upgrade to a 24 gallon nanocube soon. In preparation I ordered stuff to make an LED light for it. I recently purchased LEDS, meanwwell ldd drivers and 250w 48v 5.2a power supply Specifically I bought 3 - meanwell 1000ldd’s 3 - meanwell 700ldd’s 1 - meanwell 500ldd 6 - cree xt-e 3up (2rb-1nw) 2 - 3up exotic hyper violet 2 – ocean coral white (which if I read correctly is a 3up star) 2 - cree xp-e2 blu 1 - 250w 48v 5.2a power supply I plan to run these with a coralux storm controller with which I also have a temperature probe and a fan kit. (I’m prepared to lose the fan kit if I can get better results running more individual strings) I think using the fan kit reduces the number of controllable strings from 6 to 4 (correct me if I am wrong) Now to questions: what is the best way to break these into strings? (using 5 strings or less) which drivers do I need for each string? Will I need resistors or anything else? Do I have to make adjustments to the power supply? Thanks everyone, I thought I had my ducks in a row when I ordered this stuff but now I’m having doubts. Jamie Link to comment
