bob115
So I figured I'd start a little DIY tip thread. Feel free to contribute any tips you have, big or small. Here's a little one that makes epoxying rock so much easier. Put a little bit of lotion on your fingers, that way the epoxy won't stick to you, and won't lift off the rock when you let go of it. Makes the joints look 20 times better. Link to comment
evilc66
You won't want that lotion going in the tank though. You would be better off just keeping your fingers wet. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Yeah exactly, I wouldn't suggest putting lotion on your hands then putting them in the tank. I've used those yellow rubber gloves the epoxy didn't seem to stick to those as easily as they did to my fingers. Link to comment
Maniu
Cheap feeder that helps food get where it belongs rather then overflow or sand bad. Take a minute to glue both together and costs almost "0". http://s879.photobucket.com/user/stark60/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_182811_zpsczjc2osp.jpg.html] http://s879.photobucket.com/user/stark60/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_183352_zpswnwl6nzy.jpg.html] http://s879.photobucket.com/user/stark60/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140522_183019_zpsjalv1m9b.jpg.html] Link to comment
Mpy
Start a recycling closet, keep old bottles, jars and other plastic&glass goods that may be useful for future projects. 150 CD spindles can be turned into skimmer cups. Old margarine tubs can be used as pots for mangroves or other macros. Link to comment
