pippa
So I checked and it's most definitely not a molt. Wondering why this crab died and nothing else was affected. There are two peppermint shrimp and a blue leg hermit in there, plus a bunch of snails. Seemed to be doing really well eating algea and even some mysis. After I pulled it out I noticed one leg was missing on the crab. Random or are they just more sensitive? Link to comment
Nanofreak79
Could be random. If it had enough food, that wasn't it. I've purchased some with only three legs before. He waked with a limp until molt. Lol You test your water? Link to comment
pippa
Water params were ok but I noticed my temperature was upwards of 82! Would that have done it? Oh and The leg definitely came off after I bought it. I imagine if there was a mantis or pistol shrimp in there I would of had a few more causalities by now. Link to comment
FishI
I have never had luck with emerald crabs. Always seem to last for a week or two and then die. Link to comment
Ruester007
I have always had better luck with the smaller emeralds. I get them as small as I can, plus the smaller ones tend to have a better appetite for gba. Link to comment
