Nanofreak79
It's time! I'll be upgrading my DB 34 gallon to a shallow CADlight 45 gallon. The 34 has been up for 1 1/2 years. I planned on saving this tank for two years until the wife finished school and we moved......yeah, that ain't happening. This tank will continue to be a mixed reef. I'll be able to have some extra room for my addiction problem to. As always, feel free to interject or comment on the build, or shoot your mouth off for no apparent reason. Onto the not so boring part..... FTS: IMG_8448 by -Nanofreak79- Tank- CADlight 45 gallon shallow 36x24x12 Stand- CADlight stand. Nanofreak79
Thank you, although I'm dreading the gigantic mess I'll have in the living room. It's been awhile since I've moved tanks. At least it's In the same house. Link to comment
jack1978
Only in reefing....You currently have a box that's too tight, you want to trade in that box for one which is vast and open. Link to comment
Nanofreak79
I now see the light. It'll be like a bicycle in an airplane hanger. Link to comment

Nanofreak79
I know....I think I'll do a big Rubbermaid and drain the water into that. I'll keep all the rock in there, and that's as far as my thought process has gone. My stand won't be here until late this week. The ups driver will hate me this week. I've ordered salt and a bunch of other crap too. Link to comment
Nanofreak79
Love this Thanks! It's coming..... Tomorrow I should get my second attempt by ups to get me my stand. They busted the other one. I'm thinking it's a heavy box and they hate me for it. Anyway, little update. Should have it built tomorrow, and if everything goes as planned, everything moved over by this weekend. Link to comment
Jstn
Another build, damn man I need to up my game. Link to comment
Nanofreak79
So ups strikes again. They busted my first stand, now the second. Let's hope third times a charm! Here's some pics showing my package and how well it was taken care of. http://flic.kr/p/nyHWnP]http://flic.kr/p/nyHWnP] by -Nanofreak79-http://flic.kr/p/nfsn4D]http://flic.kr/p/nfsn4D] by -Nanofreak79-http://flic.kr/p/nwFTgy]http://flic.kr/p/nwFTgy] by -Nanofreak79-http://flic.kr/p/nuUhJY]http://flic.kr/p/nuUhJY] by -Nanofreak79- Now the stand won't be here until Monday. I'm dreading the delivery after seeing this one. The first didn't even make it off the truck. Link to comment
Reefkid88
Wow... That's just wrong man. I'm sorry about the bad luck, maybe next time the guy will bring some lube so you can screw him like they did you Link to comment
Nanofreak79
I mean who drops off a package like that. That was rhetorical. Let me drop, drag and totally #### this up and then leave it in the driveway. Won't be getting a new one until Monday. I spent the last two days making 70 gallons of water. Oh well, guess there ain't shift I can do about it now. Link to comment
Chris!
Can you see if whoever you ordered the stand through will ship it through someone else??? One screw up ok shit happens whatever but 2 come on. Link to comment
Nanofreak79
I ordered through amazon. It's super hard to find the stand, and if you do there expensive as hell. I talked to the rep today and he is putting in a request for two drivers. I'm thinking this is one guy who hates me. I order a lot of stuff online. I wouldn't be able to move it without messing it up. There needs to be two people. At this point I'm with you, but I decided to give it another go. The first one I didn't even see, it just showed damaged in my tracking screen. Idk what to do if it gets jacked again. I guess I'll have to build one......which I don't want to do. I'd have to buy some extra tools, and by the time I finish I'd be in it for over what I paid. $392? With two day shipping, which has turned into one week shipping. Wow, that's ridiculous!Yes it it's beyond rediculous. I can't believe he left it. I drove up form dropping off my son at BB and was happy, until I hit the driveway. Link to comment

See if it is getting put on his truck in shitty shape as well... cuz you know it aint going from the place you ordered it from direct to his truck some other assholes are handling it and putting in their 2 cents along the way as well I'm sure..... + he should have atleast a dolly to help manuver it with so it shouldn't be horrible to get it to the door in 1 piece if it is on his truck in good shape People ordering things online is what keeps his ass employed, if he don't like it he should find a new job Link to comment
Nanofreak79
It's funny because my kids practice was 15 minutes there and back. That's how close it was to me missing him. I was looking out the window around 4:30-5:00, his usual arrival time. He must have waited for me to leave. I'd be more than willing to help him, if they called or even pick it up myself. But yeah, you never know where it got jacked. He obviously didn't care, or help it though. Link to comment
