CaribSea Arag-Alive types

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything when I searched. Is there a difference between the CaribSea live reef sand types other than color and grain size? Do different types have different mineral components for aiding different types of reefs or something?

The mineral composition of their white colored sand should be practically identical (making the choice primarily dependent on grain size). Although, I assume that their black sand is made up of other minerals. I still see this more of a cosmetic choice, as opposed to providing support for different types of reefs.
