Im from perth in australia. Bought a 40 x 40 x 40 cm cube and want to do nano marine. Its just a tank so I must get al thats needed and would appreciate your advice. I am thinking to get a sump tank to boost stability. Not sure about livestock. Option one are two seahorses or go reef with 2 clownfish and goby and/or puffer fish.

Nice looking tank. I would drill the back and add a sump to make it much more clean looking (hide heaters, ect) and so you could add a nice skimmer.

I would suggest reef (skip the puffer) because seahorses can be more demanding/difficult and sometimes once people have seahorses, they find them boring compared to active reef fish. Plus it would limit what you could keep with them.

hi tamberav

thanks for your reply. i like the minimalist look of the tank. now to make it work notwithstanding the volume...

interesting what you say about the seahorses becoming boring after a while

Hey welcome to the forum :). You've got a beautiful tank, can't wait to see what you do with it! and, just a piece of advice, i would change your name to avoid everyone knowing your email and to avoid the possibility of spam mail.

Not really reef related but are you sure you want people knowing your email account?

yes i realise that - i should've chosen a different username, will see if i can change

i am not too precious about that account as i don't use it anymore
