IMSR80
Hi guys, I recently ordered an Innovative Marine SR-80 set. It will be shipped to me in about 2 weeks. I am now searching for gadgets for it, starting with the light. This is for saltwater low-mid light coral and fish. This is an 80g tank, so I guess the light requirement is a hard choice. I am buying these addons piece by piece, and I have limited budget now after spending $2K on this SR80 set. Do you think two sets of IM SKKYE Light 30W will work well? Or any other recommended options around $500 total lighting budget? Thanks for the help. Will post pictures once it is delivered. Link to comment
Ahanix
IEdit: Don't settle for the skkye tablets. I know right now you are thinking you won't need a lot of lighting, but unless you go against everything this hobby brings out in a person you will eventually want SPS, Sand placed coral and Clams. $500 is a pretty easy budget to work with 48" Reefbreeders Photon Used AI Vegas or two Hydras Kessil A350's 36" ATI Sunpower Point being, you can get some great lights, look on the buy/sell/trade forum or the lighting forum and I bet you will find something that will fit your budget and allow you to grow anything and everything with fantastic coloration for both your tank and the coral Link to comment
IMSR80
Thanks Ahanix for the details. These are good options. I love the 2X Kessil A350W option. They are powerful, light, neat and easy. I will look around for a pair. Link to comment
IMSR80
I got 2X Kessil A350W from eBay, new ones at $249 each. The guy bought 30 units, did not use, and now change plan, so sell at discount. There are 20 more on sale there @ $249 each. Link to comment
