hey
Great pics, I really need a macro lens but every time I think man I got some extra money to buy one... but I could get these frags instead... having 2 hobbies that compliment each other is a bitch. Link to comment

edavis402
i always get excited when i see an update to this thread in my feed. Couple questions. After seeing this tank and a couple other on RC i finally decided i want same setup but maybe the RR version. Where did you pick yours up at? i am having a slight challenge finding it online and my LFS said they cannot order it. (i think they want me to get their marineland 60g) also second question. is that a vintage Jap bike in one of our first pics? was hoping i saw a kawi cover Link to comment
jedimasterben
i am having a slight challenge finding it online and my LFS said they cannot order it. Unfortunately if you want the Deep Blue version, you'll need to find a local store that purchases from them, as DBP only sells to local stores. Link to comment
Withers
I got mine from my LFS specifically because I didn't want the RR version, but you can get them on Amazon with free shipping. Edit: Actually apparently they're no longer listed, hmm. Oh, the bike is my CB750 https://flic.kr/p/kFnG2u'>https://flic.kr/p/kFnG2u'>Side Profile by https://www.flickr.com/people/37634535@N06/'>jasonwithers, on Flickr Link to comment

Scorched
Sweet tank Withers What are your future fish and coral goals? Link to comment
Withers
Thanks! Probably one more fish but I'm not sure what exactly it'll be yet. Something small and active and brightly colored. Even though this only fits one of the 3 requirements, I'm really tempted to get a radial file fish. For corals, it'll be mostly focused on zoanthids, gorgonians and SPS. But the very front will probably be LPS since I'll need something I can supplement feeding because of the low light. I've got to take stocking slow since I have too many other projects going on at once. Link to comment

Withers
There's not much to take a pic of so far I got a new gorgonian that I love but it doesn't seem to be doing well. I don't know if I burned the tips with too much light or what https://flic.kr/p/oRfU4E'>https://flic.kr/p/oRfU4E'> Reef Tank [brenizer] by https://www.flickr.com/people/37634535@N06/'>jasonwithers, on Flickr Link to comment
jedimasterben
Nah, photosynthetic gorgs come from very shallow water, it's unlikely that you gave it too much light. More than likely it's flow related, most like to be beaten nearly to death with it Link to comment
Lynaea
Judging by shape, I think KP Aquatics site says that's one of the harder photosynthetic gorgs to keep. I agree, they do like to have enough flow to be waving in the breeze . Also wouldn't hurt to feed it some zooplankton or other coral type foods, mine love cyclopeeze but also catch any small bits of fish food that blow by. Also, all my gorgs have taken several weeks before they were comfortable enough to fully extend there polyps. They've all tended to test the waters for a while (literally) before committing, as long as the flesh is not disintegrating off the skeleton it will most likely come around and do fine. Withers
Well let's hope it turns around. The flesh has been deteriorating on a few of the tips but so far everything else is doing good. It has good polyp extension too. I suspect it's getting enough flow over there but I could crank it up a bit. I have it turned pretty low since it tends to redistribute sand a lot if turned up. burton37
Love the tank. Thinking of getting the same one. What kind and how much sand did you use? Thanks! Link to comment
