Lighting issue on shallow tank

My tank is 9" deep, my t5 fixture is about 17" high above the water line, and about 24" from the frags. Since I have such a shallow tank, does that mean I am giving the corals too much light since there isnt much water volume once the light hits the tank? Or is everything ok since I have the fixture about 2' high?

just watch the frags for your answer. if they arn't opening or look pale and unhappy prolly too much light, if theyre still behaving as expected then your good :)

how are the coral doing? I'd let them tell you how there liking it

all of them are open with no issues. I just dont want to blast them with too much light and have them fade in color. its a grow out tank with only zoas and palys

then keep it going as is, IMO, if your really concerned then run a short photoperiod, I think Im only at ~5 hours or so. But if there looking good then Id let it ride B)
