andersonkc
My favia has begun to turn white all a sudden, any thoughts? Link to comment
joy13
Flow, lights are the first 2 thoughts in my mind. Believe or not moving mine a couple of inches can really make them mad or really happy. What is the water perimeters? Do you have hermit crabs? Link to comment
Pinner Reef
Yeah mine did that because of lighting issues. How old are your bulbs? Link to comment
andersonkc
Not that old. I started my tank about a year ago. Added new LEDs in addition to the old LEDs) about 5 month ago. Is it looking for "more" or "less" light? Link to comment
Pinner Reef
Mine was blasted with an excess of light. It seems like the coral has been there for a while which is why I was concerned about dimmed bulbs. What are the rest of your parameters like? Any other major changes to the system? Link to comment

Is it looking for "more" or "less" light? Less light. My favia is almost in complete shade under a pagoda cup. See? They very much prefer shady spots and if you notice color fading it's a good idea to move it to a shadier spot. So shade, and feed it very few days for a while and it will color back up.
