wowser
My clam has gotten so fat. Her mantle is so large it's spreading out and flapping around in the current. She looks healthy but wondering if her shell isn't keeping up with the growth from a lack of calcium or something. Also there are two kenya tree leathers attached to either side. Is this a problem? metrokat
She's trying to get more light. Is she attached to a rock or anything because she might like it if you moved her up. Link to comment
wowser
Thank you so much! I should have known! She's attached to a clam holder so I can move around, but my Tomato Clown will push her down over if I put higher up. He doesn't like when things are moved! I have an LED with dimmers and have them at about 30% for blue and white. I have no idea how high I should set them. I had them at 50% but a few corals looked bleached but it could have been water quality. Any idea on what to set my LED to (see link) for a 24 gallon Aquapod? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Dimmable-120W-LED-55-3w-Aquarium-Tank-Light-Coral-Reef-Fish-Fixture-Light-/370841276651?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5657dcd0eb Link to comment
metrokat
Your corals are bleaching because they did not acclimate to the light. Use 2-3 window screens and remove one screen every week. However the clam on the sand bed at 30% is in need of more light asap. IF you can catch the tomato and put her in a time out/breeder net for a few days while you raise the clam to a higher spot, the territorial behavior might be better. I made a little window in my screens for light to the clam while my tank was acclimating to my new lights. Link to comment

FlowerMama
I did something similar with plastic canvas. I left the back 2" open for the sps and my maxima clam but then it's more shaded for the others. I've had 2 on there, taking one off later for more coral acclimation. Link to comment
