My Rock Flower Anemones spawned again

About 2 years ago, they spawned the first time; but I didn't figure it out until after I siphoned out (and lost) hundreds of babies. Here is the sole survivor of this group:

Well I just discovered that they did it again. I can see more than a dozen of new babies, but I'm not sure how many might have been lost. Here is a small group of the new babies:

Here is one in a bucket that I siphoned out:

Thanks, I'm glad they did it again. I was pretty bummed about losing the babies last time. I'll probably have to setup a tank to try and save as many as I can.

The first time they were in a 100 gallon tank. However, I've had 7 adults in a 40 breeder for over a year. I've been using it as a holding tank. I actually thought about selling a few and putting the rest in a smaller tank, but if they are breeding, maybe I'll keep them all. But unfortunately, they are on rock full of Bryopsis that I can't get rid of, so I plan to remove the adults from these rocks.

vipreefs.com harvests but they also breed. They have them in these long rectangular shallow tubs with flow going from side to side. Not sure what you have but maybe set up some sort of shallow propagation tank. They have tons of babies everywhere at that place.

Seabass can you sell me one for the reefbowl man!

I think if we pack and send even us mail priority 3 day itd be ok. maybe one little heat pack in the packaging. there's really no fiscal incentive to do this lol it is just too neat not to pass up. Id paypal you some cash you ship it to me if it dies nbd. if it lives, success!!!!!!!!!

these will eventually get too big for the rb but it wont be worse than the red mushrooms taking over everything. maybe this guy will grow up to fight them in the face. id put it in either way, neat animal here. I like its adaptation to aquarium living plus the color.

I have about 12 in a 3g pico right now LOL. I'm upgrading to the biggest size I have space for right now, an 8g, yeah, not much difference I know. Just trying to figure out if 5 more gallons will make any difference with helping them to spawn. So far I haven't seen mine do that.

Keep breeding them and sell them to us Nano-Reefers ;).

So I have babies too! Lol.. I started a thread in the ID forum because I thought it was some sort of nuisance paly..

So now what!? I want to make sure they stick around, I'm pretty sure I've lost a few. Mine hitchhiked in on their mommy.

They do look like babies. Well I manage to lose most of my first batch. They move around, let go and get blown around by pumps, get sucked up by filters, and unfortunately get siphoned out. Check you filter media, siphon bucket, etc often.

I'm thinking of setting up a small tank for mine just so that I can be more careful with them.

Feed them mysis, cyclopeeze, etc.

I'm loving hearing all this about babies everywhere! Pass out the cigars! I love the brightness of the yellow.

And yeah, 'bout Frank, you can't help it they're gonna breed on their own so not like you have to intentionally force them. Not like you have to cut anything off to get a piece to get started. That's why i'm so excited to start a breeding tank with his ultra nems as my breeding clan!!! Hopefully I'll have something interesting in the end.

You can see two of the babies (out of a couple of dozen), hanging out beside a mini carpet anemone.

Nice, mine didn't live very long under the skirt of the mother, it was covered by light most of the time. Slow growing when they're small but they're so cute. I hope they do well for you and live to maturity. Wait, weren't you going to set up a little tank just for them???

Yep, I was originally planning on doing that. Then, most of the babies that were on the glass, quickly made their way onto the rocks (only one remains on the glass). So I figured I'd just let them be. I don't really do anything for them; I just try not to smash them, scrape them, or suck them up.

The sizes vary more than I would expect. Some remain fairly small, while others are approaching the size of a palythoa. I assume that's due to how much food and light they are getting. But I don't really feed them.
