NanoClown
Hello All! Recently a good friend of mine started up a Nuvo 30 and hooked me up with his fluval spec picos (V and this one!) (empty ofc ). Ive had the Spec V setup in full for a couple of months now, but recently I decided to take our Equipment: Tank: Fluval Spec 2 - glued shut the slit that enters the false wall - InTank Surface Skimmer Heating/Cooling: - Hydor Theo 25w heater, set to 78 degrees - cooling will be provided by a simple clip-on fan (if needed) Lighting: - Coralife Mini Aqualight 2x9w Power Compact, this was just an old fixture that I had sitting around in my garage I plan to upgrade to LEDs (Par 30/38 bulb?) in the near future or possibly retrofit this fixture with them. I'm all for a DIY project with this fixture but i'm rather clueless about LEDs lol Flow: - Stock Fluval pump from my Spec V (temporary) - Minijet 404/606 in the future Filtration: Natural, Mechanical, and Chemical - ~2 lbs live rock - ~3 lbs of live sand - DIY Media Rack made from black eggcrate, 3 teirs (top has filter floss, middle holds my chemipure elite, bottom has another 1/2 lb live rock rubble) Livestock: (nothing yet) Clean Up Crew: - 2 Nassarius snails - 2 Cerith snails Invertebrates: - 3 Sexy Shrimp - 1 Pom Pom Crab - Maxi Mini Carpet Anemone Corals: - Ricordia / Yumas - Zoas - other random stuff? idk yet Current FTS up close The tank just started this week, I have no signs of a cycle yet but it should pick up soon Link to comment
evanski
Noice! I have a par 30 from Boost LED and like it a lot. Love your scape! Watch the sexies though...they WILL eat your zoas unless you keep them stuffed. Take a look at some of the other spec builds here, and the Spec Owners thread in the Pico forum. Looking forward to seeing where your build goes. Link to comment
