Nocturnal
The stock fan that comes with the MakersLed heat sink was a little too noisy for me so I found this guy. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014I9K30/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am extremely happy with this fan. It is very nearly 100% silent, in a dead quiet room you can only hear a faint whirring. I'd say it's half as loud as the stock fan. If you are looking for a cooling fan for your LED setup consider this one. Link to comment
LEEWINK
All my coolings running on them, phyto lamp, sump area cooling running them also on switchable voltage adaptors at 6v for the winter, can dial up for the summer, well worthy of considering an adaptor as they're only about £7 or about $11. I also use the fans for DIY magnetic stirrers for the phyto too, again on an adaptor for voltage change. Link to comment
Nocturnal
Hmm, good call on the magnet stirrer. I would not have thought about using them that way. Link to comment
disaster999
Noctua fans are the shit! I used them in my computer and they have the best airflow and pressure performance. Cant go wrong with them. I wish they did something to the color scheme tho. Link to comment
LEEWINK
Yea, the stirrers are on timers too, they run a couple of times a day for an hour, just mixes up the settlement, and an airline running a few inches into the tops of the jars to aerate, the jars are 1.5 ltr each, and I farm off half a litre a week, keeps a good strong phyto then.
