Weird thing about it though, it was built backwards (or the tank was drilled backwards)? the drain bulkhead from the tank is on the right and return on the left, skimmer only fits in the one compartment, really weird, I turned it around like 3 times to try and figure it out, then I was thinking maybe I built the stand wrong, Tank was upside down, I was transported to a bizarre world where right and left were reversed, lol, and my brain started hurting so I just threw my hands up and plumbed it out(if you notice the return and drain cross each other). Skimmer is working OK so far. Had an overflowing issue that lasted a good week or longer early on, but it has subsided and seems to have broken in. Not a high bioload at the moment so it has not really been "tested". The overall quality is decent, not like with my aquamaxx skimmer where the quality was very apparent as soon as the package was opened. It seems to be working ok and it has decent reviews, I am not disappointed. We shall see, may be one of those things I end up upgrading. Link to comment

The birds nest was a deep purple when I got it, hoping it returns to that, but it still looks good as it is now. maybe try moving that GSP colony, it takes away from you scape IMO I agree. That GSP was pawned off on me. I am definitely moving it at some point, I may even put it in the fuge for now. It is in the only spot it fit without it touching the main structure (I don't want it to spread). I may lean it against the back wall too, but can't decide. Man that clam looks great. Wish i still had my old tank with the 3 i had. Thats a great start on your sps collection. Thanks, hopefully it stays that way. I had a squamosa and a crocea that did really well in my old tank so this is my first experience with a Maxima. Link to comment
