clabern
hey guys - I'm looking into a DIY build using the Lumia 5.2. The initial setup will only utilize one 5.2 for my IM Nuvo 8, but I'd like to be able to easily add another 5.2 down the road, especially if I end up moving from the Nuvo 8 to a 20-30g custom build. What would be my best options as far as the heatsinks go? The Nuvo 8 is 12" long, and I don't want a huge heatsink over such a small aquarium. Should I do the 12" heatsink and center the 5.2 for now, or just do one 6" heatsink, then just do another 6" heatsink if/when I do another 5.2 (or even upgrade to an 18" heatsink at that point)? I plan on building a custom arm for the light/heatsink and running the wires to a custom box for the power supply/drivers... Link to comment

Just trying to keep my money spent a little lower. I also won't really mind a more "diy" or "industrial" look to it, so I'll probably stick with the makers version. Link to comment
