darkdancer333
I was told a skimmer wasn't needed for 14 gal biocube. If i decided to use the skimmer I have seen it placed in compartment 1.. Does this then mean that the filter that came with the system is not needed. I purchased a pack of media padding today an wonder if this can go in compartment 2 since I am not using bio-balls. Or is the padding not needed ???? Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
You don't need one. Just get the InTank media basket and run chemical media and chaeto. You'll be fine. Just find a good light! Link to comment

I have 2 led and the other lights.... I was hoping the skimmer would eliminate the filters... Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
Lol, you don't just pop a skimmer in and that's it... Doesn't quite work like that bud... Link to comment

I understand that lol I know work is involved but I am use to the old clip on filters with charcoal that went on my 60 gal salt water. That tank was crystal clear and I want the same effect for this small tank... Link to comment
