bonsaidarrell
I would say no. Could you add a wider top to your stand? Link to comment
Archaic37
Get a piece of 1/2" plywood and place it on top of the stand and secure it down. 1" overhang on either side with 1/2" plywood or even a hardwood or granite will be just fine. Link to comment
NorthGaHillbilly
Overhang wouldnt work out too well I dont think. I would get a small piece of furniture grade plywood from home depot, 1/2 would definatly work, but as I like to always over build I'd go with 3/4". You can paint or stain it to match the rest of the stand, and even buy one run of trim from HD and wrap the piece if you have access to a miter saw to class it up Link to comment
bdevillier19
as said above i would not just let the tank over hang with out any support, i would widen the top to prevent any possible tank failure. Link to comment
seabass
I agree, you can't have the tank overhanging the stand. Attach 3/4" plywood to each side, then a 3/4" sheet on top of it all. That will give you a 35.5" long stand (and many of their 3' tanks measure 35.4" long). Link to comment
Spiderguardnano
i just cut a 3/4" inch at 36" plywood and nailed it down so i should be fine now?? Link to comment
bdevillier19
3/4" plywood with a 1" overhang will be fine. the weight of the tank isnt all on that point anyways. Link to comment
