gabe3eb
Ya, they are weird little guys. If you aren't worried about the structure of your rockwork though, it very well could be worth the payoff in a year when he comes out as an adult Link to comment
Halo_003
On the pics of your most recent zoa post, what are the ones in the first and third pictures? And if you don't mind, what did they run you? Also how are the clowns getting along currently? Link to comment

And if you don't mind, what did they run you? Also how are the clowns getting along currently?Blondies, and sunny D's. I get my zoas from my buddy Glen down at coral gardens aquaculture, and if I told you how much I paid for them, I'd have to kill you. Lol, honestly I don't remember. Ya, they are weird little guys. If you aren't worried about the structure of your rockwork though, it very well could be worth the payoff in a year when he comes out as an adult My rockwork is pretty stable. I recently got rid of a diamond goby that was moving all the sand in my tank to one corner and burried a brain twice. My center piece rock is over 40 pounds and even I have trouble moving with one hand to clean up in there. Link to comment
glennr1978
One more if my favorite pair sleeping while I slipped out to work this morning. Not the pic I expected given your description, lol. Just scored all these stuffs for 25 bucks. Not sure, but I'm almost certain this is a pretty good score, lol. Score! Craigslist? Link to comment

gulfsurfer101
I was up in Austin, TX this last weekend and found this awesome maxima at the aqua dome. It was too good a deal to pass up. This thing is about 8" wide and electric. http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140526_184315_zpshbevdyy5.jpg.html] http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140526_184327_zpsjtltt6s8.jpg.html] Link to comment

gulfsurfer101
I'm not sure. Some Asian guy there in callallen. After nearly a year with this coral, I barely saw any growth, then I start daily dosing calcium and alk, along with magnesium monitoring then all of a sudden, bam!http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140526_172522_zpsp0zkz0qr.jpg.html'> Link to comment

gulfsurfer101
Had a bit of a mishap today. I was scraping my glass, before I knew it I scraped off a clutch of eggs my clownfish must've just laid recently. It was her first clutch so it caught me off guard. I'm so bummed out because I've been waiting for this to happen and when it does, I go and screw the pooch. I'll have to set up a hatch tank before the next eggs are ready to hatch. It's a bit of a bummer and exciting all in the same time. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I know, it sucks, but it's also exciting to know that they have finally decided to spawn. Besides that give me time to start culturing rotifiers and get a hatchery set up for them. I'm interested to see if she chose to spawn with my Darwin pictured above or another snow onyx I have in the tank. Link to comment
jinx
I once had a pair of mated maroon's with their first bunch of fry, then hurricane Wilma came and stressed them em all to death. I was very pissed. Wish I could have saved them :\ Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
Oh that blows. We've dodged the bullet a few times living here on the gulf coast a few times. It's a very scary thought knowing it could happen. Link to comment
jinx
If they've done the nasty once, it'll happen again LOL Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I think it was more like a three some! The two smaller snows are just hanging out where the eggs were attached still kinda keeping guard. The poor guys just don't know it's a lost cause at this point. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
Sold my maxima and a few other other coral to help get my car out the shop but I sold it instead, lol. I'm most likely going to back to where I got this clam in Austin, Tx next weekend and will most likely be getting another one, if they have them there in stock. Here are a few recent shots from my tank. http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140615_203438_zpsjml48ogo.jpg.html'> http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140615_203241_zpsccwyun5c.jpg.html'> http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140615_203040_zps0mxm4dne.jpg.html'> http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/IMG_20140615_204415_zpselrmqef1.jpg.html'> http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140615_203708_zpsrbre3ncz.jpg.html'> Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I'm trying. I look at a box of crayons and that's what I want in this tank. The last couple of tanks I had were to washed out. Too much green, too much purple. I'm looking for anything contrasting that just stands out. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
And my garf is hungry! This coral is just exploding lately. http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140615_203108_zpsmao4dxvy.jpg.html'> Link to comment

gulfsurfer101
Do it and sump the rest. Here's some pics after getting the fixture I picked up from Dap on the classifieds. So now I have the reefbreeders value fixture over the right hand side and an eBay full spectrum Chinese fixture over the left and the color matches up pretty good. Best of all, I got rid of the ghetto looking diy that was previously over my tank. Here's some fresh pics for you Green. Link to comment
