Tank 1week later taken earlier today. I was able to skip the cycle by using fully established sand and rock from my previous set up, only adding freshly rinsed dry sand as needed. I was also able to control any spikes in ammonia by using prime, it really is some good stuff if you plan on making big changes with fully established systems.. 20140323_210116_zpsydg66jgh.jpg

Some random pics from throughout the tank.IMG_20140322_222313_zpsarqxliju.jpg20140321_192111_zpsl4flq2oy.jpg20140318_201411_zpsozgmdyff.jpg20140318_201405_zpswyvfhpwu.jpg20140323_181656_zpsr07jxedf.jpg20140323_181648_zpsfngopnsz.jpg

Yeah, I let him have at it. I got that brain off a local guy and it looked like #### all starved and browned out. I figured if it could get it down it could keep it. It's been over 12hrs and it's still trying lol.

So I picked up a few goodies today. I picked up an engineer goby and anemone crab for under ten bucks for the pair. The shop was moving to a new location so everything was uber cheap but everybody else beat me to the good stuff. I was also lucky enough to find a red mandarins art another shop locally so I nabbed it. I haven't been able to get a decent pic of either goby but the crab was right at home in my bigger orange tipped bubble.

where dem hoes at
So Flo, Okeechobee my young bro-B! I got them from here to there, lol.

I liked how your tank looked in the first photo with just two islands, does that make me weird?
Yes, very! Lol, I had to much going on in my other two 20L's that I had no choice but to add it all here. I have the duel island scheme going on, kinda. I got a huge boulder and the rock with all the bubble tip nems on the left, and then clam cave going on over on the right. I just need more clams. I'm most likely going to go with local bought since all the ones I bought online didn't make it.

Here is a more accurate depiction of the tank. Two caves, side by side. http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140328_221018_zpsgr5nhwde.jpg.html'>20140328_221018_zpsgr5nhwde.jpgand my engineer goby out in the open. This sucker is really hard to get a still pic. This is the best I could do with a shaky cellphonehttp://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140328_221103_zpsipev2lrp.jpg.html'>20140328_221103_zpsipev2lrp.jpg

i still like how the tank looks, the bridge part is cool.
I'm hoping the maxima will take hold up there and I plan on adding some more acro's up there as well. All in good time though.

That coral eating the fish was a great pic.

Thanks, and yeah he was starving. All it needed was a little protein. I make a little mix of frozen brine shrimp, small sinking pellets, phytoplex, and tank water and mix it really good and spot feed as well. It has fattened up substantially.

I haven't noticed him eat anything prepared yet, but I'm not to worried about that. When I wake up to head out to work at 5am there's tons and tons of pods crawling all over the tank. Plus the basketball sized ball of chaeto in my fuge has tons more anytime I need to harvest more.

So after lights out I noticed my two bigger clowns pictured in the anemone above are seeing to look more and more like a true pair swimming in circles together and clearing out places near the anemones. I'll definitely be on the lookout for anything funny on the nearby rockwork.

Here is a video I made of the tank earlier. You can see how well the wp25 puts out random flow across the entire 48" tank. It is the only other source of flow I have in here besides my return pump I keep dialed down to about 350gph. You can see the gsp flow wildly along with some sympodium at the complete other side of the tank. I just love the flow variations I get out of this single pump. I had intended to add other one in time but I think it'll just be overkill.

Picked up some sweet zoas from my buddy Glenn over at Coral Gardens Aquaculture today and found a nice surprise when I got home to a climate these guys. Once again great stuff at a bargain rate. I'm really lucky to have the opportunity to just drive a few minutes down the road and see what's good over there. Here are some pics.http://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140411_183108_zps1lhypelj.jpg.html'>20140411_183108_zps1lhypelj.jpghttp://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140411_183143_zpsr81ydswl.jpg.html'>20140411_183143_zpsr81ydswl.jpghttp://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140411_183122_zpsshgyf5jx.jpg.html'>20140411_183122_zpsshgyf5jx.jpghttp://s1309.photobucket.com/user/gulfsurfer101/media/20140411_183135_zpsxjvuaitm.jpg.html'>20140411_183135_zpsxjvuaitm.jpg

Also, should I be concerned that I haven't seen my engineer goby since I've added him. Is this usual behavior for these fish or did it become for one of my bubble tips.

Those are some Rasta's I picked up from Glenn today. I had to use the flash because they were getting washed out by the heavy blues in my lighting. Thanks though, they look do much more colorful in person.

Thanks, I was able to skip the entire cycle by just using my old really established rock from both my 20L tanks and seeding the dry sand with a few cups of old stuff. I had diatomes on my sandbed for about two weeks but they are ancient history by now as I suspect the bacteria has spread the entire length of the sandbed as I seeded many different spots. Also prime helped out a lot with the transfer of all my rock and coral. It's good stuff man. I'm about to start placing the zoas I got from Glenn over at Coral Gardens Aquaculture yesterday throughout the tank soon. I'm not a fan of having unsightly frag racks in my display. It's just unnatural, and goes against everything I would like to replicate in my tank.
