dottybackss
For running carbon in a filter bag. Do i have to keep the carbon running at all and just put some new one every three weeks or run for few weeks then take it out and dump it then stop for few weeks and then put some new one back again? Subsea
Without knowing anything about your setup and bioload, I will say run small amounts of activated carbon and change once a week. Patrick Link to comment
Nanofreak79
I run carbon 24/7. I've always done it this way. Remember to change frequently as it will just leach anything it's absorbed back into the tank otherwise. I change mine along with my gfo, every three weeks. Also use a good carbon, not all are equal IME. Link to comment
Mojado
I asked the same question a while back. You can check out the discussion and synopsis here: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/340227-how-often-should-i-be-changing-out-carbon/?p=4618669 Link to comment
