Major Calcium Overdose

Couldn't find that many threads on this, so last night performed a regular water change around 9PM. Was using manual control on my apex to turn off pumps heater, ATO etc… Finished the WC went to bed, woke up, went to work. When I got home from work, I glanced at my tank and noticed a stark white birds nest and cloudy water. Took me a few minutes to realize what had happened. Turns out I accidentally put my ESV part 2 calcium doser in the on position and didn't notice. It emptied my reservoir (which had at least a few hundred milliliters in it) into my 16 gallon nuvo. Looks like almost all my sps is going to kick the bucket. So I used all the salt water I had on hand (about 7 gallons 65-75%) to do a water change, then went to the LFS to get another 4.4 gallons premixed which is currently heating up. My question is, at this point is there anything else I can do besides the WC? I have a porcelain crab and fire shrimp that are currently laying on the sand bed occasionally twitching but mostly unresponsive (along with the all other inverts), do they have a chance of living at this point? Here are a few pics. Fish seem unaffected. Any suggestions appreciated.

Also, should I take out all the SPS that are peeling away? They have some skin that may still be alive, but looks highly doubtful. I guess I can wait until the morning. This sux :tears:

You can leave them alone to see if any recovers. One thing to consider for emergency, or any water change is that taking time to heat up isn't needed. Changewater can be brought from 50 degrees to 78 in about five mins by setting the changewater container in a sink of hot water. That trick will get you closer to the 100% water change faster so that ammonia isn't in the system. I would remove any dead animals as top priority

Thanks Brandon429, used the quick heat up method you suggested to do about a 90% WC. So anyway figured I would update and document for others that may have this issue. Just about all SPS is gone. Only sps that may live is a pocillopora and surprisingly a ponape birds nest. Lost my fire shrimp and porcelain crab as well. Other inverts are back to normal. Zoas, LPS and softies look like they will pull through, we shall see. Removed everything that looked like it was hopeless. Planning one more 30% WC tomorrow. Changed all media and filter pads. Here is a pic of the devastation...

Let this be a lesson if nothing else, make sure you double check all settings on your apex after a WC, and keep SW on hand. Any other suggestions appreciated.

Also, My Squamosa Clam seems unaffected by this whole ordeal. Seems more pissed by all the Water Changes than anything else...
