j.mccollum
Sorry for the question. But I couldn't find the exact answer I need. I'm using live rock and sand from a older stable tank and put in my evolved 8. I did a fishless cycle with ammonia. After 2 weeks my Readings are: Ph. 8 NH3 0 NO2- 0 NO3- 80+ if not higher Should I do a big water change. Link to comment
xiaoxiy
Seems like you're cycled. Do a huge water change, and you should be good to go. Link to comment
tpme06
Another way to test it (after the water change to reduce NO3) would be to drop a bit of ammonia in the tank. If your tank converts the ammonia to NO3 in 24 hours you're typically good to go! Have fun stocking, take it nice and slow Link to comment
j.mccollum
Thanks...That was my plan. I'm going to watch it for another week or so and bump up the NO3 to make sure like you said and check it. Link to comment
