WTH is this on my clam? - confirmed Vermetid Snails, now what?

Visually it looks like a sand flea but it sounds more like a vermetid worm or possibly a barnacle.

Yeah, the pic doesn't do a good job of showing what it looks like. It has a flat top, with antennae sticking out. It looks like the top of a half-open can of Spaghetti-O's.

The spider web stuff is just its net for feeding, not really harmful, I have about 5 or 6 of them, only thing they've done is pull small bits of food away from my candy cane coral, if you really dont want it then glue it shut, thatll kill it

Yeah, the spider web fishing line is more of an eyesore than anything. I also don't want these to propogate and take over the tank. I've since read horror stories of this happening. I'll superglue the hole shut.
