Led help please

I just finished redoing my build. I originally had eight rb/nw 3ups, 4 ocw, and eight true violet on two 12" makers heat sinks. Powered by a ledgroupbuy ps to 4 ldd drivers. I've gone with a bigger tank and doubled the leds and added to ldd drivers for the increased leds and a coralux pcb board. I'm using a typhon controller. After the first build everything worked perfect. This time I accidentally but my tv on channel 2 and my nw on channel four. Not a big deal just switched them. My problem now is my blue channel powers up from 1%-47% then shuts down from 48%-96% then comes back on for the final couple percent. However, when I go to custom mode and power all channels at the same time the blues never shut off and will ramp from 0-100%. Any ideas? I made sure all connections and solder joints are good and tight.

Here is exactly what I have

Leds: 32 royal blue, 16 nw via 3ups

8 ocean coral white

16 tv

Channel one: rb, 2x 700mA ldd drivers

Channel 2: white, 1x 700 mA ldd driver

Channel 3: ocw, 2x 500mA ldd drivers

Channel 4: TV, 1x 500mA driver

Drivers mounted to a coralux 6 up pcb board

All powered by 180watt 48v 3.75 amp power supply

Connected to heatsink with 2 multiconductor cables attached with dsub connectors

Those blues and whites should be able to handle more juice.

Even at 1000, they are at 66%, right? Waste not, want not.

Someone posted a link to a 1500 LDD, albeit with a lower max voltage parameter. Betch that little bkack box gets hot.

Recommend ditching the typhon for the Storm. Im having some issues with my StormX, I need to get that cleared up before I can recommend that unit.

Recommend molex (microfit3) over dsub (right tool for the job and all that). Cleaner and safer install that way.

Post some pics of your gear and where you are in your build, will make diagnoses or recommendations easier.

Milad's going to get mad at me if I drone on about the HLG stuff, so I won't mention that.

You know when I was in business, I would have killed (a criminal or child molester, someone bad ya know) to have my customers tell me exactly the products they wanted, that they would buy, and what they would buy and recommend to all their friends and family to buy from me. Milad has that available to him, and hes very conservative. His Forrest Jenny Peas and Carrots" partnership" with Coralux not withstanding. This kind of real tangible profitable low risk feedback cost big corporations billions to acquire or attain.

Not sure if drunk...

Here are some pics. Took me awhile since I had to resize them. Didn't realize the dsub wouldn't be sufficient. I used crimp style and the cable is a 22/10 cable.post-74967-0-58641800-1394474136_thumb.jpgjust wanted to add the power supply is plugged in with a computer cord that was laying around at work. It's 18/3 and the power supply to the drivers is through 18 gauge wire. Just wanted to clarify that. I didn't want to run 3.75 amps through 22 gauge.

Seems like your issue might be Typhon-related, but only on that output pin since none of the others are affected. You can verify this by switching those two wires on the Typhon's dimming output. Please swap them with one of the other channels and let us know what happens, if the blue channel acts normal and the switched channel has the same behavior.

So I started playing around again and now all channels when dimmed individually will only dim upto a certain point and shut off. But Whalen all dimmed together they dim from 0-100%. I went back and made sure all the screw terminals on the coralux had good contact and not screwed down onto the insulation. Another option I've been thinking about is ditching the typhon and getting steves led harness to convert the10v analog signal from my apex to a pwm.
