Six Line Wrasse Flashing

I have a new six line wrasse that has been in my QT for going on 4 weeks. Just today I've noticed him starting to flash on the top of the PVC tubes that are in the tank. He's doing it pretty frequently and I'm starting to get a little concerned. I've never seen him do this before today. Also noticed him do a few little twitches while swimming.

This can't be normal right? Flukes? Ich?

It could be a display of dominance if the fish can see it's reflection clearly in the glass, just a thought.

hmm...that's a thought as the tube he keeps doing it by is near the side. I'll keep watching him. So far I see nothing else abnormal. No spots or anything wrong with his skin. But could be in the gills i suppose.

Does he do it at noon or at midnight?

That may be a clue as to what's wrong with him.

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, lol.

It was during the day. I'm not around at night as the tank is in my office at work. I haven't seen him do it again and he looks perfectly healthy otherwise....eating well, no spots or anything. I'll just continue to keep an eye on him. I was going to transfer him to the DT this week as it's been 4 weeks now that he's been in the QT. But maybe i'll give it another week or two just to be safe.

I had one in a 29 gallon and every time I would view the tank for a couple mins the dude would swim up in directly in my line of sight and stick all his fins out. Almost like he was saying "This is my house!" lol. Cool fish, never had an issues with him.

Well it's been a few more days and I still haven't seen him do it again. I guess maybe it was a one time thing...weird. Anyway still gonna keep him in the QT another couple weeks...so that'll be a total of 6 weeks. If he was going to have something I should see it within 6 weeks right?
